Memorial Day...

MEMORIAL DAY is a tribute to ALL of America's War
Dead. It is dedicated in remembrance of those who
paid the Ultimate Price during the Vietnam War.

Though not all companies or offices here observed this holiday, we are definitely NOT one of those. Since it falls on 29 May (Monday), we have the so-called "long weekend". Shopping is a must as it is the second best sale (other than Thanksgiving) that I have known of! So what are we going to do on these 3 days (sat, sun & mon)? We can't possibly shop for 3 days...(maybe 3 yrs ago, that a different scenario). Kathryn and I decided that since we are going to Dessert Hills (an outlet where you can get good price for branded items) which is located in Los Angeles, we might as well go to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. It is a water theme park...something like the Big Splash or the one that used to be in Sentosa (can't remember what it is called). The rides there are thrilling. As this is the second times that I've been there, I had tried most of the rides. It was fun and I "lost" my voice the next day from all those screaming. Check out this website and you will know what I am talking about. http://www.sixflags.com/parks/hurricaneharborla/index.asp

As for the last day before we go back to reality? We went to Chinatown for dim sum then headed off to Farmers Market where it boasts a wide range of international cuisine and gifts from around the world. It also offers the freshest and finest produces. We hanged around there for a few hours...window shopping and drinking coffee under the cool weather of Los Angeles. The place is nice but the parking fee is unbelievable, it costs us US$12 for 3 hours! It suddenly reminds me of the parking in Singapore...hahaha…

Taking a break from all the rides. Though it looks sunny, the weather is really cooling...

For the fun of it, I did an airbrush on tattoo...isn't my butterfly looks pretty? The sad thing is that it didn't last as long as what it claim to. The very next day, you can see smudges on it and then the day after next, it gone! I can't believe my $11 gone down the drain so fast!

Enjoying the weather at Farmers Market. How I wish I can bring the weather back to Arizona...

(p/s: Due to my laziness and addiction to Sims 2, I have not posted anything for quite a while. Pardon me for my MIA.)
