My First Skiing Experience

SkiingThis year will be my last winter in the States and I still haven’t tried skiing yet! So we decided to go to the Sunrise Ski Park which is about 260 miles away for my first ski experience.

It was snowing as we are driving there, so everyone are very excited about it (some of us is the first time see snowing). We even stopped along the roadside for some quick snaps. When we reached our motel, it was a winter wonderland. Everywhere was covered with layers and layers of snow. Although it was freezing cold, the excitement in us made us grabbed the snow with our bare hand and started the “snow war”. The snow falls throughout the night.

The next day, the weather is still cold but sunny. We took a 2 hours lesson in skiing and all I could say is that I know the basic of it. At the end of the day, we were dog-tired but we had tons of fun and not to mention lots of fall too.

Egg Nog is...

one of my favourite beverages which can be found during the festive seasons like Thanksgiving and Christmas. There are two versions, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. So far I have only tried the non-alcoholic one as it’s more readily found than the latter one.

I know the word “egg nog” sounds kinda of put off. What exactly is it made up of? It is a drink composed of warm spiced ale, with sugar, spirit and eggs; or eggs beaten up with wine, sweetened and flavored, etc. It has a creamy texture and tastes like thick milk shake. Hmm…wondering do Singapore imports this, if not, it’ll be one of the thing that I missed in States.

X'mas in Las Vegas

p/s: This was written on the last day at Vegas while we are on our way back home.

Jason & I decided to spend our Christmas somewhere else than in Arizona. Where else would be a better choice than Las Vegas. Well…it’s a city that never sleeps even on a major festival like Christmas.

Hundreds & hundreds of Christmas decoration lights add to the already brightly-lit city. We stayed there from 24th December to 28th December. Everyday is fully-packed with things to do. Like usual, the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is a must to see for us. It changes its decoration from season to season and with the Christmas theme, it is so beautiful and sets us in the mood of a white Christmas even though we will not be able to experience in Vegas. Although the place is packed like sardine, we still managed to get a few shots together. We also managed to get the tickets for Mama Mia – a musical Broadway show. This is Jason’s first time watching a Broadway show and we enjoyed it very much. Not forgetting that there will be sales after Christmas, we went to 3 outlets for our shopping spree.

Time always seem to pass very fast when you are in Vegas. In a flash of time, we are packing our bags and on our way back to Arizona. Family Road Trip
